Cat Allen began her love affair with technology at the age of three, when her father first sat her down in front of a Commodore 64. He worked in network security consulting, and kept up with the latest technologies. At the age of twelve, Cat was creating her first graphic designs in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and designing web pages with HTML and CSS for a variety of web-based computer games.
Cat worked as a freelance journalist and digital consultant for nearly two years while living in Wellington, Florida – the “Winter Equestrian Capital of the World”. There, she focused on the niche equestrian industry and catered to boutique e-commerce and publishing brands. She built multiple e-commerce platforms, grew extensive social media presence, established brand awareness through on-site activations and wrote editorial and digital content for a variety of publications. Cat also worked closely with PR firms to craft high-quality press releases and event coverage of top-tier horse shows across the country.
After moving to Dallas, Cat attended a coding bootcamp where she learned three full-stack languages and how to build web applications from the ground up. From there, she interviewed for a software engineering role before being hired as a Product Manager. From Product, Cat was moved back to her core skillset of Marketing and was afforded the opportunity develop brand positioning, go-to-market strategies and investment presentations alongside C-Level executives.
Cat is currently at Senior Digital Marketing Manager with a focus on search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) for an education technology company based in Dallas, Texas.
In her spare time, Cat enjoys training her Doberman, riding horses, yoga and happy hour on the patio.
